On France's 'terror attacks' - my comments posted on The New York Times and THE HINDU

My comments posted on NY TIMES and THE HINDU: (Both remain unpublished)

Worldwide billions of dollars are spent by governments on intelligence gathering. It is therefore surprising that a modern European well-developed country like France should suffer such abominable calamity, while its intelligence community had no role to play in safeguarding its security, safety and integrity. Even worldwide community of intelligence agencies that are thick as thieves between them in passing and acting on intelligence gathered has been such a disaster in performing its supposed role. France's staunch friend, Israel which has extensive networking around the globe, should have been able to pick up some thread to warn the French authorities. All failed. This then appears to be a conspiracy of silence to let the event happen with a overarching objective of unleashing another Islamophobic wave of hate and revenge.
